Creating Drag-and-Drop Google Slides Activities

Updated: Jun 2, 2020

I use interactive Google Slides as an independent Literacy Center (in Kindergarten!). They are quick to make and easy to share with students. And, they require absolutely no headphone chords getting all tangled up at the iPad/Computer Station!

There's a Freebie "Google Slides Center Activity" at the end of this post... it's a good example of where you could go with this.

First of all, so many possibilities!.......... I am in love!

As soon as I learned about this, my imagination kind of went wild! I could literally create anything in a couple easy steps! Here's a "How-To Video" that explains more:

I not only like Google Slides activities because they are paperless (I mean, who doesn't like helping Mother Earth?), I also think they teach valuable skills in and of themselves. Technology is only going to be used more in the future and technological literacy is arguable one of the more important skills schools can teach today!

So I want to inspire you to try these!

My Kindergartners had a little difficulty learning to independently type their usernames and passwords over at the little Corner Computer Lab. And, there was also a bit of a learning curve for me when it came to creating and implementing these. But, the Kindergartners were fast learners and so was I! I promise it is well worth it in the end, as they provide endless Independent Centers.

Time for a Freebie: "An Word Family" Google Slides Activity (click the image below).
